Symbolic Multibody Methods for Real-Time Simulation of Railway Vehicles
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this work, recently developed state-of-the-art symbolic multibody methods are tested to acurately model a complex railway vehicle. The model is generated using a symbolic implementation of the principle of the virtual power. Creep forces are modeled using a direct symbolic implementation of the standard linear Kalker model. No simplifications, as base parameter reduction, partial-linearization or look-up tables for contact kinematics, are used. An Implicit-Explicit integration scheme is proposed to efficiently deal with the stiff creep dynamics. Hard real-time performance is achieved: the CPU time required for a very stable 1 ms integration time step is 256 μs.

متن کاملA real-time recursive dynamic model for vehicle driving simulators
This paper presents the Real-Time Recursive Dynamics (RTRD) model that is developed for driving simulators. The model could be implemented in the Driving Simulator. The RTRD can also be used for off-line high-speed dynamics analysis, compared with commercial multibody dynamics codes, to speed up mechanical design process. An overview of RTRD is presented in the paper. Basic models for specific ...
متن کاملDynamic Modelling of Mechatronic Multibody Systems With Symbolic Computing and Linear Graph Theory
The application of linear graph theory to the modelling of flexible multibody systems is described. When combined with symbolic computing methods, linear graph theory leads to efficient dynamic models that facilitate real-time simulation of systems of rigid bodies and flexible beams. The natural extension of linear graphs to the modelling of mechatronic multibody systems is presented, along wit...
متن کاملDevelopment of a Finite Element Methodology for Flexible Track Models in Railway Dynamics Applications
The dynamic analysis of railway vehicles involves the construction of three independent models: the vehicle model; the track model; and the wheel-rail contact model. In this work, a multibody formulation with Cartesian coordinates is used to describe the kinematic structure of the rigid bodies and joints that constitute the vehicle model. A methodology is also proposed in order to create detail...
